This time, our founder, Naomi Coleman returned to Sharm-El-Sheikh to meet with a team of 21 Security Personnel and their new Chief, all of whom undertake the most extraordinary missions to keep peace. This organisation has a truly noble purpose.

Team Cohesion
Whilst the team were bound to be a force to observe peace between two countries, or seek signs otherwise, the team themselves had suffered a period of combined disruptive factors. Poor leadership coupled with many facets of diversity, varying lengths in contract durations and differences in benefits and privileges, the team were living in a culture of low morale, discomfort, misaligned expectations and division.
Fortunately, a new Chief, Henry Crowningshield (pictured below) had taken up the leadership role, and Hedfan were there to support him.

How events unfolded
Over the 2-days of being with this team, we actively explored:
- Existing and desired culture
- Ownership and accountability
- Appreciating Differences
- Feedback model
- Conflict resolution model
- Active listening skills
- Personal values at work
Within 2 hours spent with this team, I began to see the jovial, funny, helpful team that they were. Words they had not used to describe themselves in a recent survey.
They were unconditionally committed to their mission – I have never met a team more dedicated, but they needed a little help to unite.
Reflections
Not only were the objectives achieved, but by the end of the 2 days, I became a part of their team and was presented with a Challenge Coin. It was unbelievably touching, and I will treasure that coin and that moment.
The people I met there, not least Hank, the Chief, are people I will stay in touch with.
